Answer scenarios regarding possible program change within the school year. For instance:
How much staff time / money can we save if we increased class sizes in elective blocks from 20 to 25?
What is the projected payroll cost to the school for the proposed program based on current staff receiving increments and future retirements/hires?
Report on “quality” of a program. For instance:
Gender-based participation in the curriculum (subjects more popular with girls than boys, etc)
Physical resource utilization (like % room use)
Periods at each year level devoted to "core" form-based classes compared to blocked classes.
Enrollments at each Year level
Participation in the timetable (eg. % of students enrolled in extra-curricular subjects or outside their "home" year level
Average class sizes for the school, year level and subjects
Total periods taught in different faculties
Subjects that are over-enrolled
Provide comprehensive summary reports including:
Total staff numbers and EFT
Total available “program” periods (that is, periods available for teaching or other duties)
Under-allocation of staff and utilization of staff in “non-teaching” duties
A comparison of program cost (in periods) to the available staffing periods (including time allowance pools)
“Non-HR” costs such as materials and specialised rooms related to subject, year level and whole-school income as represented by levies
Comparisons of costs in different teaching areas (ie, LOTE costs x dollars per student per period, while English costs y dollars per student per period)
