Just thought I'd remind those of you who may have forgotten (it has been a year, after all), or those who didn't realise it, First Class does have an End of Year Rollover facility. Go to TOOLS>END OF YEAR ROLLOVER. If you press F1, the help file will open at the appropriate topic. Remember, if you roll over students one year at a time, start from the the most senior year level, otherwise you will add this year's students in one year level to those in the year level up. It is best to roll all students up at once.
First overseas order for A+ !
Long time First Class user the Australian International School in Singapore has just ordered A+, the new Attendance, Absence & Alerts Report module. This follows A+ orders from other "out of town" country Victoria First Class users in Yea & Echuca.
Thank you to Nick Scott and his team at Northcote High School for hosting our recent A+ demonstration. Nick, together with our development group, has been a key driver in the evolution of A+ at NHS. After a successful staged roll out, A+ will be used to mark the roll for over 1300 students.
Those attending the demonstration would have noticed the rugged water proof case that NHS use to hold the PDA or pocket PC. Coming down in price like all equipment, this case is an excellent way of protecting a PDA if you school elects to use a monitor system to mark rolls.
"With respect to an A+ interface into CASES21, a number of schools have reported they have by-passed this and appropriate hard copy reports are suitable."
