The internet has become an integral part of not only business but also our personal lives and Australians have been amongst the quickest to adopt this new form of communication and all the benefits that it entails. Secure online shopping, instant news and event updates and rapid communication response times, all bring businesses, families and friends closer together.
Australia ranks 4th in the world on population connectedness to the internet (behind the USA, Iceland and Norway)
Australia ranks 2nd in the world on Information & Communications Technology spending as a percentage of GDP

At Human Edge we have been committed for some time to delivering cost effective world-class software. With many hundreds of users located in every Australian state and territory together with a growing user base offshore in China, New Zealand, Singapore and Indonesia, use of the internet to distribute software is critical in ensuring:
Users have immediate access to all software upgrades (for many of our products this can be 4 times year)
Distribution costs are minimised (posting 1000 CDs four times per year is a daunting task!)
A line of communication between ourselves and our user base is maintained by regular and informative emails

How can I use the Relationship Diagrams to access First Class data?
Some advanced users who work with the First Class database within Microsoft Access have requested relationship diagrams for the database. These are in PDF format and can now be obtained using the following link:
http://www.humanedge.biz/firstclass/developer/relationships.htm
Two diagrams have been provided, one for the main database and one for extras. To make these easier to work with we suggest that you print the diagrams and tape them together. Care must be taken to ensure that the correct relationship lines from the separate pages are connected.
You will need to have Adobe Acrobat Reader to view and print these files. If you do not have Acrobat Reader installed it can be downloaded using the following link:
http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep.html
In order to use these diagrams you will need to create a database that can be used with Access:
Go to FILE>SAVE AS
Give the new database a unique name
Check the CAN BE OPENED BY checkbox
Click COPY
This new database can then be opened in Access and, with the aid of the relationship diagrams, you can set up your own exports or access the data for other programs.
How do I print the Daily Summary in colour?
All previews (and therefore printing) from First Class are in black-and-white. However, because the Daily Summary is a grid report, there is a way of printing it in colour.
Go to the DAILY SUMMARY
Right click on the summary and, from the drop down menu, select VIEW IN EXCEL. This transfers the grid, including the colour scheme, into an Excel spreadsheet.
Give the summary a header
PRINT the spreadsheet on your colour printer

www.familytree-online.com
Have you ever wanted to know more about your ancestors? The internet is a fantastic tool for researching genealogy. It is much faster and cheaper than the overseas flights and phone calls that were often required to build a family tree previously!
This website acts as a meeting place for people researching their family trees as well as a source of information and links to other useful websites. There is an events calendar for advising of family reunions and a free email service that family members can use to contact each other.
By its very nature this website is constantly growing and providing more information to visitors. As people add details of their family’s experiences, a picture of the personal history of Australians and their heritage is revealed.
Even if you aren’t researching your own family tree it can be quite fascinating to read the stories of others and learn about the rich and varied histories of Australian families.
"With confidence, you can reach truly amazing heights; without confidence, even the simplest accomplishments are beyond your grasp."
