	Gather all information in one place
	Put all your marks, grades, assessments, observations and notes in one place for each term, semester and year. Use this information at the same time to help prepare student reports. There is no need for teachers to enter and maintain their classes and there is no limit on the size or number of markbooks that a teacher can use.

	Use your own marking schemes
	Easily setup all the marking schemes your school needs and simply associate a marking scheme with an assessment item. You can use numeric values or codes, create your own descriptors, set minimum and maximum values to ensure data integrity, specify how to round and how many decimals and automatically convert numeric values to codes or grades. 	Handle special calculations
	Assessment items can be weighted, excluded from totals, automatically graded and optionally excluded; for example where only the top 4 marks out of 5 are used in the overall calculation. Marks are automatically scaled to a new maximum for both totals and average.

	Statistics anytime
	Easily see the student count for each assessment item; how many remain unmarked; minimum, maximum, mean and median marks, along with the standard deviation. Students with more than 2 standard deviations from the mean are automatically highlighted for possible attention. Percentages, ranks, stanines and z-scores can quickly be calculated on any or all items. Each assessment item column can be sorted with a single click from highest to lowest or lowest to highest. View the details for the whole class or only one student.

	See it your way
	You choose whether you want totals shown first and then all the individual assessment items or the other way around. View students on a PROGRESS VIEW with just the items marked taken into consideration or a FINAL VIEW with all items included. See what scores are needed to achieve a specified final result. View the whole class or all the details for one student only.

	Print or e-mail reports

	Marks, marks and marks
	Marks can be: calculated from one or more assessment entries, weighted, overridden if necessary and estimated based on completed results from other items for a student. Comments can be attached for future reference. Rescaling can be done to new maximums, means and standard deviations while all original entries are retained.

	Need more assessment items
	Simply create new assessment items at any time for one or more of the students in a class. This can be used for the recording of students on special or individual learning programs.

	Analyse it
	If your role in the school spans responsibility over academic years, forms, houses, learning areas, departments or subjects, then you can view all the cohort information with the Analyser view. All class statistics are available within the Analyser.

	Work the way you want
	When connected to the school network you can be working directly on the central markbook. You can 'check-out' your markbook at any time and go “off line”, remembering that you will need to 'check-in' for any cohort analysis and to update the central files. If you have an Internet connection from outside of school then you can also work online at any time with our Web services connectivity – your data is centrally secure and backed up every night.
