Human Edge offers a wide range of training courses from our dedicated training facilities located in South Melbourne [see map] and Sydney [see map], as well as on-site, in regional areas and offshore as requested.

The training is hands-on, with each participant using a dedicated computer. Participants also receive comprehensive training manuals and other relevant resource materials.

Class sizes are kept to a maximum of 10 people to ensure everyone gets the most from the day. Our highly qualified instructors, with a blend of technical skills and a sound understanding of the parish environment, continuously focus on providing individual attention to all the participants. Where needed, you will have the opportunity to have all your specific questions answered for a guaranteed powerful and effective learning experience.

Morning and afternoon tea and refreshments are provided along with course notes.

PACS People Registers & Giving
About the Course

The course provides hand-on experience in learning about PACS (Parish Administration & Communications System). The training agenda covers topics like: introduction to PACS, search for Records, enter Families and Members records, archive and remove Members, Family and Member Reports, set-up Givers and Pledges, process Giving, Funds, Giving Receipts and Statements, Giving Reports, Registers and Register Reports as well as Copy and Backup your Database.

Training Outcomes
At the end of the training session participants will be able to:
Enter new Family Records
Enter a Member and link them to a Family
Manage and maintain Family and Member records
Flag a Member as a Giver and maintain their Pledge details
Process Giving on a weekly basis
Produce required reports
Course Audience
The course is intended for people who are new to PACS and need to manage Member and Giving records.
Prerequisites
People attending this course are expected to have a good basic understanding of MS Windows based software and be experienced with a mouse and the keyboard.
 
PACS Financials
About the Course
The course teaches you how to use PACS to manage the daily and monthly financial tasks. It covers topics like processing receipts from sources other than giving, doing a monthly bank reconciliation, and business activity statement (BAS). You will also learn how to enter cheques and withdrawals and manage your Chart of Accounts.
Training Outcomes
At the end of this training session you will be able to:
Enter Sundry receipts
Produce a bank deposit slip
Enter cheques and bank withdrawals
Process your bank reconciliation and BAS
Produce the required reports
Course Audience
This course is intended for people who are new to using PACS for Financial Management.
Prerequisites
It is recommended that the PACS People, Registers and Giving course has been completed.
