How Do I?
How do I change the payslip layout?
Pay2k comes with 3 payslip layouts, Standard, Postal and Secure.
Each layout prints:
A Header section with the Company Name, ABN, Employee Code and Name, Department, Pay Period Duration and Number of Periods Processed
A Body section giving the details of the Earnings, Allowances and Deductions that have been processed for this pay
Tick boxes enable you to select if you require the following areas to print as part of the Body of the payslip:
A pay summary giving the Gross, Tax, After Tax Items and Net amounts for This Pay and the Year To Date
An Employer Super section which will give the details of the employer super, provided the super transaction has the SHOW IN PAYSLIP section completed to allow this information to be displayed
A Pay Split which gives the details of how the payment is being made
A Comments area for printing the comments entered at the time of the pay run
The Standard layout prints the Header and the Body of the payslip.
The Postal layout prints the Header and the Body of the payslip as well as the employee's name and address positioned so the payslip can be folded and put into a window faced envelope.
The Secure layout is designed to print onto specific A4 payslip paper that can be folded and sealed. On this payslip the heading area prints twice, once outside the sealed area and once inside the sealed area. The heading outside the payslip is torn off when the payslip is opened, so it is also printed inside so the payslip still has this information when it has been opened.
To select the layout you require:
Go to PAYROLL>PAYSLIPS
Go to the SHOW area (on the right side of the form) and use the tick boxes to indicate whether you want the Pay Summary, Employer Super, Pay Split, and/or Comments to print on the payslip
Use the TYPE area on the form to select your required payslip layout

Website of the Week
http://www.abc.net.au/wordmap/
If you have spent any time in different states and territories within Australia you may have found yourself in a situation where you were totally confused about what someone was saying to you!
The Word Map website explains regionalisms, which are words, phrases or expressions used by particular communities in different parts of Australia. It’s quite fascinating to see how differently Australians can refer to the same thing. Some of them are quite amusing also!
There are a few different searches that you can perform on this website. If you have a particular word or phrase that you would like to find out about simply use the Word Search to see other words/phrases with the same meaning. You can also click on each of these for a dictionary definition and can even add your own comments and feedback. The Map Search allows you to click on a map of Australia and see a list of regionalisms for that area. If you would prefer to search alphabetically that is also an option.
Grammar, spelling, punctuation and pronunciation are all aspects of our language that have changed over time. The Word Vote is a poll that allows you to have your say about how you think a word or phrase should be spelt, punctuated or pronounced. You can also check to see how many other people agree with you!
If you have ever wondered what a "cossie" was, or not known how to respond when asked if you would like a glass of "chateau d
cardboard" the Word Map website is worth a visit.
