How do I un-terminate an employee?

In some cases a teacher that has left the school and been terminated will return as an emergency teacher. Below are two methods of adding an employee back into the active database.

Method 1 - Re-activate the employee

This method will work only for those employees terminated in the current year as the end of year process removes all terminated employees from the database.

Go to MAINTENANCE EMPLOYEE DETAILS  
Find the employee who has been terminated  
Click on the HISTORICAL tab and locate the field called TERMINATION DATE  
Remove the termination date  
Click on the SAVE button  

Method 2 - Add a new employee record

This method should be used if you wish to have 2 separate group certificates for the employee (one for their full time employment period and one for their part time employment period).

Go to MAINTENANCE>EMPLOYEE DETAILS  
ADD a new record for the employee  
Click on the SAVE button

Our half-day introductory courses offer a detailed and effective overview along with use of the key features, shortcuts and how-to functions. We believe that nothing beats this hands-on experience!

Every attendee has their own computer and works with experienced instructors. Individual questions and issues can be dealt with to ensure that each person comes back to school enthusiastic and competent to achieve more than before.

The investment for the half-day training course is $175.00 (+GST) per person. Book 2 or more attendees at any one time and the price per attendee becomes $145.00 (+GST) per person, a saving of $30.00!

The Introduction to Pay2k will demonstrate how to:

Set up Pay2k with school information and other systems parameters  
Enter pay codes and other master file information to keep the system current  
Record employee information accurately with the various options  
Process a payroll and everyone's pay accurately  
Complete Month End procedures properly  
Produce Period and Month End reports to assist with your office process

If you have been using Pay2k already but have some particular questions you would like answered, we would be interested to hear from you. We are investigating running a special user workshop, depending on demand, where your questions can be answered. You will simply need to bring along samples of your data along with details of your query and our instructor will walk you through the software step by step.
