  How Do I?

How do I update Pay2k to reflect an increase in the industrial award for the normal time amount?

How you update Pay2k to reflect the increase depends on how you have set Pay2k up to record the pay amounts.

To check how Pay2k has been set up to record pay amounts, start with the transaction details for the normal time salary codes.

Go to MAINTENANCE>TRANSACTION TYPES
Call up a normal time salary transaction code

You now need to work out how the Factor is set and change Pay2k accordingly to reflect the increase.

If the Factor is set as the GROSS WAGE AMOUNT for this salary item:

Edit the Transaction Code and change the Factor to be the new SALARY AMOUNT

If the Factor is set as the HOURLY RATE for this salary item:

Edit the Transaction Code and change the Factor to be the new HOURLY RATE

If the Factor set as 1 and the Multiple By Rate is un-ticked then the wage is probably keyed into the hours amount in the auto pay.

Go to MAINTENANCE>AUTOPAY
Call up an employee's auto pay details and check to see if the hours amount is the employee's normal pay amount. If so, update the hours amount to reflect the change in the employee's salary.
Repeat for each employee

If the Factor is set as 1 and Multiple By Rate is ticked then the pay rate is recorded either on the pay group or on the employee's record.

If the Pay Rate is recorded on the Pay Group:

Go to MAINTENANCE>PAYGROUP
Update the pay rate for each of the pay groups

NOTE: If the employee's pay rate has also been recorded on the employee's record you will need to update this information as well to ensure that the employee record is kept up to date.

If the Pay Rate is recorded on the Employees record:

Go to MAINTENANCE>EMPLOYEE DETAILS>TAXATION tab
Update the pay rate amount on each employee's record to reflect the pay increase

You will need to repeat the above process for each of the normal time salary codes.
