As some of you may have already realised, Human Edge Software has a new website. We have been working on the new design and content for many months to provide a high quality, up to date, resource centre for our software. With the new website you will need to follow these new steps to get to the download section

Open your Web browser and select www.humanedge.biz

Select the Pay2K link from the Products list
|

From the menu on the left hand side select "Upgrade"

Key in your name, e-mail address and the download password
|

Select the appropriate upgrade file to download

How do I use Industry Awards in Pay2k?
The Industry Awards area in Pay2k records the details of entitlements to Holiday Pay, Sick Leave, Rostered Days Off and Long Service Leave as per the award agreement.
Industry awards are recorded under MAINTENANCE>INDUSTRY AWARDS. At least one award must be entered in Pay2k as it is a compulsory field on the employee records.
If an accrual is to be made for each of the above categories under the award the appropriate amounts for the following can be entered so that Pay2k can update the employee records appropriately:

The QUALIFYING PERIOD before accruals start
|

The INITIAL ACCRUAL AMOUNT
|
|
The PER ANNUM ACCRUAL
|
|
The HOLIDAY LOADING PERCENTAGE in the case of Holiday Pay
|
If you have a percentage in the Holiday Loading and you use a leave transaction on the employee's pay the system will automatically add the leave loading to the employee's gross wage based on the value of the leave transaction. This leave loading amount will print on the payslips as a separate item.
For example:
An award may require an employee to work 3 months before they are entitled to sick leave but once this waiting period is up the sick leave entitlement for the full 3 months will be accrued in their record. This is determined by the figures entered into the Qualifying Period and the Initial Accrual fields.
The appropriate award is indicated on the employee's record. The Accrued amount of entitlement is added to the employee's record whenever the Update Accruals option is run as part of the Payroll Update.

The City Search website provides information about major cities and areas within Australia.
If you are planning a holiday City Search can be a good place to start. You can select the city/area that you are interested in from the City Search home page. The pages for capital cities all feature a Holiday Guide that is a great place to start and provides information about things to do and see, accommodation, transport and emergency services contact details.
The site even has an online booking service for restaurants and accommodation. All you need to do is click on your restaurant/hotel of choice and you will be taken to their website where you can make your booking. This feature makes the site a really great “one stop shop” when planning your trip.
You can also use City Search to access information about your local area. The pages for many cities list Community Events that include classes & courses, talks & lectures, kids events, fairs & fetes.
