Our new web site is a step closer to fruition. We are in the final stages of setting up the infrastructure to host our own website and are counting down the days to when we can launch our new image.
By hosting our own website we will be able to offer all schools a wider range of services, including downloads, product information and support resources, even user-group forums. If you have a question about one of our products the website will be the place to go!
Along with the website we will be installing personalised email addresses for all staff members, along with product support email addresses to ensure your requests reach the right person. The new website and email addresses will be published in an upcoming edition of this newsletter so stay tuned.
How do I run the End of Financial Year in Pay2k?
The end of the financial year is nearly with us again! The ATO has changed their requirements for the Payment Summaries. A new version of Pay2k with these changes will be released by the end of June. You will need to update to the new version of Pay2k before running the Payment Summaries and the ATO transfer file.
The process for running the End of Financial Year in Pay2k is as follows:

Complete the last pay for the year

Check the FBT rate is set correctly for how you record your FBT amounts
|
|
Check or enter the FBT amount for the employees
|
|
Run the Month to Date (MTD) and Year to Date Reports (Refer to Steps to Follow in Processing a Payroll)
|
|
Run the Employee History Summary report for the financial year and cross check this to the amounts you have remitted to the Tax Department
|
|
Run the Payment Summaries
|
|
For each employee cross, reference the totals that print on the Employee History Summary report with the amounts that print on their payment summary
|
|
Run the ATO transfer file
|
|
Run the End of Year
|

Another interesting feature is the "Where do I Start" section. This provides advice on how to go about borrowing for your first home, choosing a mobile phone, finding the best home phone plan, buying shares online and borrowing to invest.
