  Student Transfer Note

We have received some feedback that Government’s Privacy Legislation may prohibit the printing of the Parent's Occupation on the Student Transfer Note.

We are interested in hearing from you about your thoughts on this issue, for example should the parent’s occupation be removed from the transfer note? Please email your comments to: sas2000@humanedge.biz

  How Do I?

How do I change the mode a Form opens in?
In SAS2000 the Forms open in Add or View mode by default. The default mode for some of the Forms in SAS2000 can be changed.

The Forms that the mode can be adjusted in are Bills, Receipts, Credit, Creditor Bills, Creditor Payments, General Journal, and Write Cheques.

To adjust the mode settings:

Go to MAINTENANCE>SETUP>PREFERENCES 2

In the Forms area (the top left corner of the tab) you will see a listing of the Forms that can have their mode adjusted. As well as the Form name it also displays the details of how the Form is currently set to open by default, after an entry has been added and after an entry has been edited.

To the right of the Form area is a column with three fields called Default Mode, After Add Mode and After Edit Mode. These fields are used to adjust the setting for the Form to determine the mode the Form should be in after the operation is performed.

Setting What it means
Default Mode The mode the Form will be in when it is first opened up
After Add Mode The mode the Form should go to after a new transaction has been Added and Saved
After Edit Mode The mode the Form should go to after a transaction has been Edited and Saved

The modes that are available are:

Mode What it means
Add Puts the Form into Add mode ready for a new transaction to be entered
View Puts the Form into View mode, so the transaction that was being worked on can be seen on screen
Query Puts the Form into View mode with no details on the Form ready for a find operation to be performed
Edit Puts the Form into Edit mode, so the transaction that was being worked on can be edited

Only the modes that are appropriate for a setting will be available for selection.

To change the mode for a Form:

Highlight it on the list that appears in the FORMS area
In the Default Mode, After Add Mode, After Edit Mode fields to the right of the Form area set the mode that is most appropriate for the way data entry is performed

NOTE: These setting changes will apply to all users of SAS2000 at your school.

Even though the weather is getting cooler and we are all spending less time outside it is still important to be "sun smart". Have you ever ventured out without sunscreen on an overcast day and been sunburnt?

The Sun Smart catchphrase was developed by The Cancer Council Victoria in 1988 and has become part of our everyday vocabulary. Radio, print and television advertising remind us of how important it is to be aware of the damage that UV rays can do to our skin, even in winter!

The website provides information about sunburn & skin cancer, sun protection, skin cancer treatment and research & statistics. There are also printable Fact Sheets on topics ranging from Solariums to Sunscreen.

The site also provides a Schools & Childcare section that has useful information and topics for discussion for both Primary and Secondary school students.
