While our training courses give a detailed and informative overview of how SAS2000 works, you may find that you require extra advice on a particular aspect of the software or simply need to work with someone to get through the issues.
Our consulting services provide you with a forum that lets you set the agenda!
SAS2000 consultants provide not only one-on-one instruction on how to use the software, but also advice on how to make the system work the way you want it to. Some examples of areas we've already helped schools with are:

Consultancies can be organised on-site (minimum 2 hours) or held at our training facility in South Melbourne. Our services are charged on an hourly basis and discounts apply to schools on the Service & Support Program. As a guide our standard rates are $120 per hour. Schools on the Service & Support program are entitled to a 30% discount, making the hourly rate $84. Any applicable travel costs may be charged in addition to these rates.

How do I transfer money between two bank accounts?
If your school runs multiple bank accounts you may have the need to transfer money between them. As these types of transfers can be done via an actual cheque or directly via a funds transfer, here are two different methods of performing the task in SAS2000.
Method 1 - Cheque using Write Cheques
 |
Go to GENERAL LEDGER>WRITE CHEQUES
| |
 |
In the BANK ACCOUNT field at the top left corner of the form, enter the BANK ACCOUNT CODE that the money is coming out of
| |
 |
Type in your CHEQUE NUMBER (or let SAS2000 allocate next cheque in sequence)
| |
 |
Enter the amount of the transfer in the AMOUNT field
| |
 |
In the body of the write cheque page, instead of entering an expense account, enter the ACCOUNT CODE for the bank account to which the money is being transferred
| |
 |
PRINT and POST the cheque to complete the transfer
| |
Note: Using this method you will not need to enter a receipt as the money has been transferred between the accounts by the write cheque function. Since no receipt has been entered this transfer will not appear on a bank deposit slip but will appear on the bank reconciliation of both accounts.
Method 2 - Using Make Withdrawals directly
 |
Go to GENERAL LEDGER>MAKE WITHDRAWALS
| |
 |
In the bank account field at the top left corner of the form, enter the bank account code that the money is coming out of
| |
 |
Enter the amount of the transfer in the amount field
| |
 |
In the body of the withdrawal, instead of using an expense account use the account code for the bank account to which the money is being transferred
| |
 |
Post the withdrawal to complete the transfer
| |
Note: Since no cheque is physically written this method assumes you have used an electronic transfer using software such as National Online or an equivalent.
How do I print the Child’s Name and Class on the Statements?
Instead of posting statements some schools will send them home with the children. To help in the distribution of these statements you can include the child's name and class by following these steps:
 |
Go to REPORTS>FEES>STATEMENT PRINT
| |
 |
In the OPTIONS area, located in the middle of the statement print selection form, tick the box INCLUDE NAME OF CHILD
| |
 |
Select whether you want the eldest or youngest child in the family to take the statement home
| |
 |
Statements will print the student's name and class underneath the contact name and address. When folded correctly the contact name and address and student details will be visible in a window-faced envelope.
