  How Do I?

How do I find out which students use a particular bus?
Provided the Travel Method information on the student record has been entered with the required level of detail, a report can be printed listing the students who use a particular Travel Method.

Go to REPORTS>STUDENT>TRAVEL METHOD
Select the required Travel Method(s) and select to sort the report by Travel Method

The option to have a page break between Travel Methods is available.

For each of the selected Travel Methods the report will list the student's Name and Address, and space is provided for displaying the Bus Time and Map Reference on the report.

  Website of the Week

www.bom.gov.au

The Bureau of Meteorology website is a rich source of information about our weather. It actually contains so much information that it can be difficult to know where to begin!

The website provides the latest satellite and radar images of Australia which can be viewed for individual states and territories to observe rainfall, fronts and pressure systems.

The "Weather Charts" link on the home page takes you to a page with further links to information about Weather Maps and Weather charts. This information helps to explain what we are looking at when we see charts and maps on the evening news and in the daily papers.

The Monthly Feature on the website is currently "Indigenous Weather Knowledge" and is an interesting source of information about how indigenous Australians developed their own seasonal calendars depending on the region of Australia in which they lived. You are also able to view past features from the "Previous" section of the Monthly Features.

There is a wealth of educational material provided on the website, including lesson plans and ideas for school projects as well as links to other meteorological resources and publications.
