Advisory
In newsletter 11/2005 the ‘Did You Know?’ section contained a link to our website to get export definitions for Student photos and Staff photos. The link on the newsletter had an extra space in it and as a result did not work in all cases.
If you had a problem with the link use the following link instead.

Product Release
In this section of the newsletter we review selected items from the recent releases of SAS2000.
Transfer Fees |
If you need to move or transfer outstanding fees from one person to another, due to a family separation or parent request, then this function makes the process very easy. Simply select the person who has the fees, the amount(s) you would like to move and the person the fees are to be transferred to, and it's done. Remember to change the fee payer settings if this is a permanent change that you would like to be reflected in fee generation. |
An automatic address update has been added to creditors to simplify the update process. When a creditors address is changed SAS2000 will detect if the creditor’s other addresses were the same as the one being changed and will pop up a dialog box to allow you to change these addresses at the same time.
The Creditor Address names have been changed to be more meaningful. The new names are:
Order - formerly Mail to.
Payment - formerly Account to.
Enrolments
The address link between contacts and family on the enrolment form has been improved. On the enrolments form when adding a new contact you can select to copy the family addresses to the contact. Where the family has a Mail address this will now be copied to the contact’s Mail and Account To addresses. Previously the family residential address was copied to the contact’s Account To address. The family Residential address is still copied to the contact’s Residential address.
Unapplied Credits Report |
This new report will be useful for identifying credit items that have not been applied against a fee payer account. The credits fall into 3 types:
Unmatched Receipts
Credits
Negative bills
The report can be run to include or excluded each unapplied credit type and can be sorted by Account number, Contact Name or General Ledger Account. The report is located on the REPORTS > RECEIPTS menu. |

Exciting Feature coming...
An exciting new feature in the next major release of SAS2000 is a new streamlined data entry form for enrolments. This new form is designed to allow for keyboard only data entry which will make keying in new enrolments faster and simpler.
