Coming Events
The annual Secondary College Conference is being held on Thursday 24th November.
This is a great opportunity for the Secondary Colleges to get together and find out about what is happening with SAS2000. If you use SAS2000 on a daily basis, or manage people that do, this is a “must attend” event. A meaningful agenda has been set and the topics are designed for all school staff levels. You will not be disappointed!
Many of our Secondary Colleges are sending multiple delegates, so please register early to ensure your College is represented. This will be an excellent user group meeting, where you will be able to voice your ideas and suggestions as well as take away important information.

Product Release
In this section of the newsletter we review selected items from the recent releases of SAS2000.
Bill Status Report |
This new report shows the status of the bills based on their bill type and the bill date.
The report shows the amount of the bill and the amount still outstanding for the bill.

Child Protection data fields
|
A new section called “Child Protection Records on File” has been added to the PEOPLE > CONTACT> OTHER tab.
This section contains 2 date fields called Prohibitive Employment Declaration and Police Check. These fields are used to record the date of a declaration or a police check that is held on file.
These documents are required in some states for parents or friends to work in a voluntary capacity at the school, or on excursions or camps.

MCEETYA Data on Enrolment
|
The MCEETYA census data fields for parents can now be accessed from the enrolments screen as well as from the contacts screen. |
SMS Centre |
The SMS Centre is a new feature that allows SMS messaging from within SAS2000. The SMS messages can be used for a number of purposes eg: informing parents that their children have not arrived at school, reminders about school activities that are coming up etc.
Please note: You must register with Human Edge before you can use this service. A registration form is available from the following link:

Exciting Feature coming...
The next major release of SAS2000 will include the ability to automatically calculate the annual depreciation figures for your assets. The depreciation calculation will be based upon the information you have recorded in the asset register. You will have the opportunity to review the depreciation calculation before posting a depreciation journal.
The asset depreciation function in SAS2000 is optional so your school can decide if it wants to use it or not, depending on your schools financial requirements.
