Welcome to the second issue of the fortnightly newsletter on SAS2000. The newsletter gives you information on:
Outcomes Seminar for Principals What is OUTCOMES? Our newest software product and a totally integrated component to your administration system SAS2000. The system provides an easy, effective and simple solution for all your assessment, reporting and analysis needs. In this section of the newsletter we review selected items from the latest release of SAS2000.
The latest release of SAS2000 is 5.0.915a. This was a minor maintenance release for 5.0.915 that was recommended for download by Victorian Independent schools, and schools who use the Creditors module. Other schools can choose to load the update to 5.0.915a or wait until the next major release in June. If you do not already have release 5.0.915 or 5.0.915a installed, release 5.0.915a is available for download from our website. Please refer to your organisations internal policies as to the upgrading of SAS2000 at your school. A Welfare module is being added to SAS2000. The welfare module has 4 components:
We will look at each of the components of the welfare module in turn. We looked at the Referrals Register in the SAS2000 Newsletter Issue 1/2005. In this newsletter we will look at the Accident, Illness & First Aid Register.
The Accident, Illness & First Aid Register is used to record the details of any medical treatment that the student has received at school.
Issue with Medical Notes. SAS Users should be aware that the Student Medical Listing and the Student Medical Report are not displaying the entire medical note on the printed report. More specifically, the Note Subject is omitted, but the Note Content is displayed. Depending upon how you have entered your data, this may result in important data not being displayed. This issue will be resolved in the June release, but in the interim you may like to print these notes directly from the Notes Diary to ensure complete data. (Refer to the 'Did you know?' section of this newsletter for instructions on Printing Note Reports from the Note Diary).
The NOTE DIARY records all notes that are entered into SAS2000. While notes can be entered using;
all the notes can be viewed and printed from the NOTE DIARY. Follow the steps in the table below to select and print notes from the Note Diary:
SAS2000 and Pay2k training is held in our training room at 427 City Road, South Melbourne. We have some new courses starting in June. The courses are Creditors: This is a full day course that works through all aspects of the Creditors module in SAS2000, from raising the purchase orders, to entering the creditors invoice, to making payments to an individual or doing a payment run for all invoices that are due. Short Course The short courses are: Period Absences. This course looks at the Period Absences module in SAS2000. The course covers the set up that is required to use the module, the process to record absences per period or a whole day, and the Period Absences reports. Student Activities. This course looks at recording the co-curricular activities that the students attend at school. eg, Music lessons, Sports, After School Care. The course covers the setup that is required to use the module, the process to assign teachers and students to activities, the process to bill for the activities (if required), and the Student Activities reports.
