This notice refers to SAS2000, Reporter Pro Administrator and PACS version 1747 and above

Note: In the previous versions of the software we included .NET Framework in the client install program (SETUP.EXE). Due to the large size of the full .NET Framework installer this is no longer possible. 

We recommend that, if you do not already have .NET Framework 3.5 SP1, then you should download directly from the Microsoft website and install this software on all workstations using SAS2000 and Reporter Pro Administrator.  You should do this prior to upgrading to the next version of the software.

Downloading .NET Framework

Microsoft provides 2 methods for downloading and installing the .NET 3.5 Framework.

Option1.  Download and save a bootstrapper program (2.8Mb).  You then run this file on each workstation where .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 is required.  The program interrogates the workstation and works out the appropriate files to download for the particular operating system and programs you have installed.  It will then download the appropriate files from the Microsoft website.  This typically could be around 50-60Mb for each workstation.

Option 2.  Download and save the full .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 installer (230Mb).  You then run this file on each workstation where .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 is required.  The full installer has all the files necessary, so no further download from the internet is required.

If you have more than 5 workstations to update or support multiple schools, then downloading the full version may be the best option.  Both files can be accessed from the Microsoft website using the following link:
