The Victorian State Government is introducing a unique identifier called Victorian Student Number (VSN) for all students in government and non-government schools from Prep to the age of 24. Each student currently enrolled at school will be allocated a VSN, which will remain with them for their entire academic life. This will be maintained by a central authority known as the Victorian Student Register (VSR), managed and operated by the VCAA (Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority).
THE TIME IS RUNNING OUT
All Victorian schools will have to comply with this new legislation. As a consequence, Human Edge has been working with the VSR to make the necessary modifications to the school administration software. The testing has now been completed and our software has passed the accreditation phase.
Your school will need to update to a VSN compliant version of the school administration software, SAS2000 and Principal for Windows (PFW).
